Late Pregnancy Class
Designed for those in the third trimester of pregnancy, this four-class series will help you prepare for the labor and birth of your baby. You will learn what to expect during labor and how to understand and work with your body. All information is presented in a seminar and visual media format. Group participants and questions are encouraged.
Subjects to cover include:
- Anatomy and physiology of pregnancy
- Signs of labor and the process of delivery
- Cesarean birth
- Breathing and relaxation techniques
- Options for pain management during labor
- Understanding the appearance of your newborn
- Procedures performed during and after delivery
Where to Go – At the time you register you’ll be directed to the designated classroom on the campus of Jordan Valley Medical Center (Pioneer Valley Hospital – depending on web site).
What to Bring – In addition to the recommended two pillows, you may wish to bring a snack, a support person and all of your questions and comments.
Cost Considerations – The class is $35.00 payable by check on the day of the class. If Medicaid is covering the cost of the class, please bring a copy of your current card to class. If you are registering on line you may pay by credit card.
